Solo Camping Oregon Coast: Chaotic (But I Loved It) Things went wrong. Then they went sideways. And somehow, it turned out to be one of the best solo camping trips I've ever had on the Oregon Coast. It was truly beautiful chaos. In this video, I’m wrapping up my final night at Cape Lookout State Park before it closes for major upgrades. I went in expecting sunny weather, a peaceful campfire, and a smooth breakdown. Instead, the Oregon Coast weather had other plans: I got thick fog, burnt coals for dinner, a sleepless night, and a tent breakdown filmed entirely in slow motion. (Yes, really.) But somewhere in the chaos of this solo car camping trip, I found hidden sand dunes I'd never seen before, captured the incredible moment of fog lifting over the coastline, and realized that the messy trips are often the most memorable.
