Quick answers to the questions people actually ask. Can't find yours? Email hello@watchtheoutdoors.com.
A curated library of outdoor videos from YouTube. Real people pick every channel — hiking, fishing, camping, climbing, and about 30 other ways to get outside. No algorithm deciding what you should want.
Yes. Watching costs nothing, and there's no premium tier hiding the good stuff.
No. You can browse and watch everything without signing in.
YouTube. Every video plays through the official YouTube player, so creators keep every view, every ad, and every subscriber. We're a map to the good stuff, not a copy of it.
Editors choose the channels, and only outdoor content makes the cut. New uploads from those channels flow in automatically, then get sorted into activities like hiking, fishing, or overlanding.
It usually means our editors removed the channel for being off-topic, or the creator deleted the video on YouTube. Either way it's gone on purpose, not lost.
Your browser remembers what you were partway through — on this device only. We don't store your watch history on our servers. Clear your browser data and the row clears too.
Sometimes a creator turns off embedding, or a video is locked to certain countries. Click through to YouTube and it should play there. If a video seems broken everywhere, tell us and we'll clean it up.
Email hello@watchtheoutdoors.com with a link to the video. A human reads every report.
There's a whole page for you: For creators. Short version: email us your channel and our editors take a look; ask to leave and we remove your channel for good.
