I primarily use action cams in two ways - as a POV camera for action sports (mountain biking, skiing, climbing), and as a vlogging camera when I’m travelling, hiking & camping. I figured the best way to put this new camera through its paces was to properly test it as an action cam. Starting out on the mountain bike trails and running through different fields of view and stabilisation modes. I also tried the Boost Lens, which pushes the field of view from 155º to 182º for an even wider perspective. There are a couple of short trailers in here for other videos I’ve made with the Action 6 (linked in the video cards) showing how it performs across a wider mix of light, settings, and landscapes. Back in the van, I share my first impressions - what works, what doesn’t, and how it actually performs. I also dig a bit deeper into some of the settings and features. Big fan of this camera already, and it’s one I’ll be using a lot.
