With armed escorts leading the way, they finally gain some ground. What should be simple turns complicated fast. Misinformation, visa issues, and unpredictable border crossings leave the team constantly questioning who to trust and whether they’re being misled. Endless days of driving and nonstop setbacks start taking a real toll as the expedition fights to keep moving south. Along the way, the team checks off several major milestones, including crossing into the Southern Hemisphere and coming face to face with wild silverback gorillas—an experience none of them will soon forget.
