First Adventure Without Memphis | Taking the Dogs On a Hike

It's our first day of adventure without Memphis. It was a hard day, but being that we were celebrating Charlotte's sixth birthday we were doing our best to say happy, and positive! Today we are loading up the Jeep and heading out to Ocqueoc Fall for our very first big family hike without Memphis. It is definitely a bittersweet milestone for us, but our dogs, Kira and Eleanor, are ready to explore the trails, get their paws wet, and make some incredible new memories. We haven't been back to the falls since the massive flooding, so we were so excited to see how much the landscape has changed. The water was rushing fast, and the girls absolutely loved exploring the muddy paths and dipping into the river on their long leashes. After the waterfall, we made a quick stop at the gorgeous Silver Springs to check out the incredible underground water system where the river comes right out of the earth. It was a day full of hiking, beautiful views, and plenty of outdoor splashes! Once we got back home, the girls settled in for some well-deserved naps after their big Jeep ride, while we spotted some adorable new chipmunk friends in the backyard. Even though it started raining later and we missed our evening walk, Kira came to the rescue with some amazing office cuddles when we needed a sweet moment.
