A frightened traveller found shelter in the wrong place this monsoon.

When this monitor lizard wandered into a home in Agra, it wasn't looking for trouble. It was likely looking for shelter from the heavy rains. Our Rapid Response Unit safely rescued the scared visitor, carried out a thorough medical examination, and released it back into the natural habitat it most likely came from. With the rains now setting in, encounters like these become far more common. If you spot wildlife in or around your home, remember to keep a safe distance and call trained rescuers. Every rescue is another chance to send a wild animal back to where it truly belongs. Here's hoping this little explorer finds its way back home, back to its family!
