Greater Prairie Chicken Lek in WRAY, CO Spring Behavior…Booming, Dancing, Stomping, & Sparring!

DnA’s Birding Adventures are heading to Wray, Colorado to check out the Greater Prairie Chickens in a spring lek. Then we’ll head north to Lewellen, NE along the Platte River where the Sandhill Cranes stop over during their spring migration to their breeding grounds north. We’re #birding and adding new #birds to our 2026 list. This is Dave’s first #colorado Greater Prairie Chickens. A few years ago we checked out the Kearny, Nebraska Lek.
