In this episode of The Timber Life we are sharing the magic of salmon fishing in the Ontario, Canada river system and bushcraft camp cooking. We head out to the river at sunrise, surrounded by bald eagles, osprey, and these big beauties. Finally, I can check off catching a salmon off my bucket list! They are smart and even though I could see tons of them a few feet away, they weren't fooled by my hook. Persistence, combined with our good friend Skeet's mentorship, helped us both bring a salmon home to feed our family. I learned about salmon's spawning journey and then we gather around the fire as we cook this fresh salmon over open flame using bushcraft techniques. Trustin turned a white ash tree into a grill basket. My favourite part of this whole experience was the look on our daughter's face when she opened the cooler :). Big shoutout to Skeet Sutherland: https://sticksandstoneswildernessschool.com The jacket I'm wearing is WeatherWool : https://weatherwool.com Be nice to people, be nice to our Earth. Thanks for watching! ps. canoe trip video coming soon :)
