Running From Swarms of Oregon Mosquitoes!- On July 9, 2016 my friend Echo and I hiked the Horse Lake loop. This 10 mile hike is mostly in high alpine woods and the trail takes you to Horse Lake (which isn't really a lake, more like a swamp). However, the other little lakes along the hike are nice and you can even camp if you wanted to. The last bit of the hike is along the Pacific Crest Trail and it is absolutely beautiful, with views of Mt. Bachelor, Elk Lake, Broken Top and South Sister!
