Crossing Katahdin's Knife Edge | The Most Exposed Hike in the East

This film documents a crossing of Katahdin's Knife Edge, a route featuring near vertical drops of up to 2,000 feet on either side and a ridge that narrows to just a few feet wide. These features have made Katahdin's Knife Edge one of the most iconic ridge traverses in America. The route featured in this film begins at Roaring Brook Campground and follows the Chimney Pond Trail to Chimney Pond. From there, it ascends Pamola Peak via the Dudley Trail before reaching the Knife Edge Trail, which leads to the summit of Katahdin.
