Soto Windmaster Stove Blowing in the Wind

The Soto Windmaster camping stove is supposed ro perform better in windy conditions than competitor's stoves because it has a new recessed burner head. I'm not really convinced. I had the stove out in light to moderate wind last weekend and it looked like the integrated windshield was a little less effective than advertised. The real innovation on this stove is the ability to use different pot stands depending on the diameter pot you use, although they're easier to lose because they aren't part of the stove anymore.
