Dogs Swimming, BBQ and Fireworks! 🎆 Our 4th of July Vlog

Today we are celebrating the holiday with a fun filled family day, even though things felt a little bit different this year. We started the morning trying to beat the heat index by giving Eleanor and Kira some delicious frozen apple treats inside the house. Then, Jamie and I headed downtown to the deli to watch the amazing Alpena 4th of July parade with the family! It was so nice to see so many great floats this year! After the parade, the family and the kids came over to the house for an awesome backyard barbecue and pool party. The weather in Northern Michigan finally broke, giving us a perfect 74 degree day to hang out outside. After everyone left the BBQ, we took the dogs for a walk, and then guess which dog JUMPED into the pool? 3 times actually! Yeah, it was Eleanor. We wrapped up our holiday heading back downtown on the bike and scooter to watch the big fireworks show over the water. We were a little worried about how Eleanor would handle the loud noises back home, but thanks to loud music on the radio and a close eye on our cameras, she did so good! We also stop by the Take 5 Deli to give you a highly requested renovation update, including our potential opening timeline! Life is short, make memories with your dogs!
