What to do when your original plans have to be canceled during the drive there? Granted it was a 16 hour drive but still who needs the hassle of changing plans while on the way. After the closure of Bugaboo Provincial Park due to flooding on the trail, Zachary and I had to pivot. So we consulted the internet and reached out to @Connor_Hobbs who offered us some truly great advice, do the Asulkan Traverse. It has some of the sturdiest rock in the area. Near Rogers Pass the Asulkan Traverse provides amazing views during its 16 mile circuit which has 8 thousand feet of vertical climbing and passes by 3 separate huts. The huts can be useful if you want to enjoy this adventure at a leisurely pace. However, we had limited time so we had to do the Asulkan in one go. The entire route took us approximately 9 hours to complete.
