Emerald Bay Lake Tahoe, CA with Paddleboard Places

Come join us for an amazing paddleboard adventure in Lake Tahoe. Emerald Bay is beautiful, but requires hiking down the hillside to get to the launch point. We packed up our gear and headed down the mountain early in the morning. It didn't take very long to get to the bottom. We blew up our boards and got on the water. The water was calm and glassy. We paddled to the island in the middle of the bay and hiked up to the rock house/castle on the top. What a view! Then we paddled around the bay and enjoyed a variety of views. The hardest part was hiking back up the hill with our boards. Somehow, it's a lot longer hike up than down. (ha). This place is beautiful. We highly recommend it for kayaking or paddle boarding.
