I know what the song says. “Don’t go chasing waterfalls…” Respectfully… I’m going to ignore that advice. For me, waterfalls have never just been beautiful places to visit. They’re reminders to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with myself when life feels overwhelming. These hikes have never been about burning calories or earning a workout. They’ve always been about protecting my mental health. If you’ve been feeling anxious, stressed, depressed, or simply exhausted by life, maybe this is your reminder to get outside. It doesn’t have to be a huge adventure. Find a trail, a park, a river, a waterfall, or anywhere that helps you breathe a little easier. Sometimes healing looks like putting one foot in front of the other. 📍Filmed at Clearwater Falls, Oregon, on the ancestral lands of the Molalla, Modoc, Cow Creek Umpqua, Takelma, the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde, the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians, and possibly other Indigenous peoples. If you enjoy content about hiking, public lands, mental health, weight loss, and finding healing in nature, I’d love to have you subscribe.
