Join us on a snowy overnight family winter camping trip! I don’t post as often these days, but this adventure deserved its own video on our channel. It's another special family memory for the archives and one I’m so happy to share with you guys! Trustin Timber builds a traditional hot tent using wood poles, creating a warm, cozy shelter in the heart of winter and then brings the whole family along for a peaceful night of cold weather camping, complete with a crackling stove inside the tent. I cook a hearty camp stew over the wood stove, a simple nourishing outdoor camp meal for winter. On winter overnights I always tend to choose a recipe that can't burn and isn't on any sort of timeline. I let the stew slowly simmer over the stove for a few hours as the tent warmed up for the overnight stretch. We enjoy stargazing, peaceful forest sounds, and the beauty of nature at night. We wake up to a breathtaking winter wonderland, surrounded by snow-covered trees and winter stillness. FYI we are all wearing @WeatherWool. Trustin is wearing the Weatherwool anorak and pants, Caitlin is wearing the watch cap and women's blanket coat, and our little one is in a diy undyed Weatherwool fabric poncho. To learn more about these garments, check out https://www.weatherwool.com. This is not sponsored, but yes we do work and stand behind the company.
