Marion Lake to Marion Mountain

Marion Lake is 66 miles east of Salem and a very popular hike since it's only a few miles to the lake. If you want to make the hike longer, take the trail up to Marion Mountain and catch breath-taking views of Mt. Jefferson that you otherwise wouldn't see from the lake. This lake is generally accessible all summer long and a beautiful place to camp and do various day hikes from.
