Darton TriTech 33 Review & Speed Test

Darton has been on a heck of a roll the past few years with their compound bow lineup and the new flagship is the Darton TriTech family. Available in three lengths (31, 33, 35) I went with the TriTech 33 for my review. This bow is right in my wheelhouse when it comes to hunting bows. I love that length, as it provided plenty of stability while still being compact enough to shoot from most ground blinds and tree stands. The TriTech family has lots of carryover technology from the Sequel 35 ST2 I shot last year, including Perfect Tune adjustable limb pockets and Perfect Timing adjustable yoke hanger. The most notable new addition is a dual-function micro-adjust roller guard. All three give the owner the ability to tune their arrow flight without having to touch a bow press. Also new is the BBS Dual Sync Cam with offers 1/4" draw length adjustments, along with an updated riser. Adding some extra value to the proposition is an included set of speed mods that provide an additional 5-6 FPS of speed, along with two sets of draw stops so you can fine-tune your feel at full draw. In day-to-day use, I much prefer the standard mods that come on the bow, as they offer up a buttery smooth draw cycle and a whole lot more speed than you'd think. In fact, in my testing this year, the TriTech 33 nails its advertised speed with both the standard mods and the included speed mods...all with a draw cycle that feels much lighter than the numbers on the chronograph suggest it should. This is an absolute home run of a hunting bow from Darton. I'm not sure there's a bow brand that's had a better last couple of years with their great tuning technology and bows that just plain feel great to draw.
