Does gold flash outperform silver... or does it depend on the conditions? In this on-the-water experiment, Tony compares two nearly identical dark paddletails, one with gold flash and one with silver flash, to see how they perform throughout a summer morning. Using identical rods, reels, line, retrieves, and rotating lures every three casts, the only variable was the flash inside the lure. This isn't a scientific study or a definitive answer. It's simply one morning on the water and an interesting observation that could help you think differently about lure selection. In this video you'll learn: Why gold and silver flash reflect light differently When each flash color may have an advantage How changing conditions affected the bite Why relocating was just as important as changing lures Tony's biggest takeaway from this first test Have you noticed a difference between gold and silver flash?
