Hiking the Middle Fork Willamette Trail pt. 4- On June 11, 2017 I solo hiked the last 16 miles of the Middle Fork Willamette Trail. I have hiked this 30+ mile trail in four sections throughout the winter and spring and the trail is absolutely spectacular! This last section is extremely wild, lots of cougar and bear activity and thick brushy parts of trail. Here is the adventure of how I nearly didn't make it off the trail in one day.
