Hidden deep within Vermont’s Green Mountains lies a landscape few have ever seen. A mountainside scattered with boulders the size of cars, shaped by its glacial past. I came here to climb an unmarked route known as the Northwest Slide... Yet upon my arrival, something else caught my eye entirely... What followed was a solo off-trail ascent of an exposed Class 3 ridge, terrain rarely found in the Northeast.
