There aren't too many options for backpackers in the Redwoods NP but we were lucky enough to get a last-minute permit to hike the Redwood Creek Trail and camp within the park amongst some of the tallest redwood trees in the world. The Redwood trees (Sequoia sempervirens) tower above all other species of flora, often reaching more than 300 feet into the sky, and frequently surpassing 800 years of growth. Check out our trip report which provides some helpful information if you're also interested in hiking the area! https://www.kyleszegediphoto.com/Trip-Reports/Backpacking-Redwood-National-Park Please do your part to keep the wilderness wild.
