Crazy 33rd Birthday Hike Adventure

On June 23, 2020 my friend Jeremy and I (Nicole tagged along for the first 3.5 miles) attempted a 30 mile day hike. Unfortunately I misjudged the trail completely and I thought it was going to be downhill for the majority of the hike. There was tons of route finding involved along this old trail and that combined with the 4,000 feet of elevation gain slowed us down so much that we had to call it quits early. Then we ran into some other issues trying to get picked up. Needless to say, it was quite the adventure and hopefully not a foreshadowing of what my 33rd year is going to look like :).
